Class Agents

Each class has five to ten representatives that assist in fundraising programs with their class. They act as  point persons between the Office of College Relations and his or her class. Contact Heather Potts at hpotts@ursinus.edu for details.

Reunion Committees

Class Reunions are held on each five-year anniversary of your graduation from Ursinus. Not only do reunions offer alumni the opportunity to renew old friendships, they provide them with the chance to visit the college and view the on-going enhancements to the curriculum and the campus. In conjunction with reunion celebrations, the Alumni Relations Office plans a variety of academic forums for the life-long learner. All reunions for the classes ending in 1's and 6's will be held during Alumni Academy and Reunions in June 2006. Reunion committees begin preparations for their class activity one-year prior to the event. Their tasks include reunion fundraising, event planning, and class communications. If you are interested in joining your reunion committee, please e-mail Heather Potts at hpotts@ursinus.edu .

UC Admissions Ambassadors

The UC Admissions Ambassadors program is a way to assist Ursinus in recruiting good students in your area. If you are interested, you will be trained to represent Ursinus at local college fairs and/or to make telephone contact with admitted students. You can also help by referring good prospects to the Admissions Office at any time. For more information, click here, or contact Vic Brown at: vbrown@ursinus.edu.

 Class Correspondents

Class correspondents are volunteers who act as a communications link between the College and their classmates.  This means from time to time disseminating information to your classmates about the college and/or other classmates—these messages can range from notification of an Ursinus play-off game, new building or program to a classmate’s marriage, promotion, baby, awards, mini reunion or an obituary.  These messages can take the form of a letter, email or posting to a Class Web page (to be created by Alumni Relations personnel in the near future) and will occur once or twice per calendar year.

Correspondents will also be responsible for compiling and drafting the Class Notes to be published in the Ursinus Magazine.  We will publish your name, mailing address, telephone and email (we can set up an Ursinus address for you, if you prefer) in the magazine and on the alumni website so that classmates can send you personal/professional updates.  In addition, the Alumni Relations office will send you any updates we receive from classmates or other publicity sources once or twice a month.  If the information is received via newspaper or non-classmate source, we will ask correspondents to call the classmate for verification and publication approval. The editor of Ursinus Magazine, Wendy Greenberg, will edit Notes for consistency and may in some cases be in touch for a clarification. Ursinus Magazine is published three times per year and typically contains about 5-10 class notes per class.  A publication schedule with deadlines will be provided to all Correspondents.

To become a class correspondent, send your name, class year, phone number and e-mail address to ucalumni@ursinus.edu.  All names will be reviewed by the Programs & Services Committee of the Alumni Association and a volunteer will be selected from the classmates that reply by August 18.
